World Cup: Peter Rufai Prays For Enyeama's Safety After Ejide's Terrible Outing Against Scotland

After the friendly game against Scotland in London, Austin Ejide has not only been criticized by foreign press but also by former Nigerian number one Peter Rufai.
The Eagles had conceded twice to their Scottish counterpart and had to rely on two come back goal by Uchebo and Nwafor to gain a 2-2 draw.Rufai reviewed the game and focused on the goal keeper's showing, He prayed for Eagles number one to stay health throughout the World Cup, saying he hopes Ejide never comes out on duty during the tournament. He said: ‘’We pray that nothing happens to Enyeama to warrant a change’’
Rufai however stated there was no reason to panic and that footballers have bad days, he continued: ‘’It happens in football. Ejide is a fine goalkeeper. All goalkeepers go through that at one stage or the other’’, Rufai said recalling how jittery he used to be when called to take over from number one goalkeepers in his club.
Ejide had an awfull showing in the game, even catching the ball in the air and with little contact throwing it into his goal, The goal was cancelled by refree Lee Probert judging that Ejide clashed with a Scottish player.
