Usher Raymond and Justin Bieber sued for ripping off another artist

Justin Bieber and Usher are being sued for their song, "Somebody to Love," because some powerful judges just ruled that they may have ripped off another artist.
According to 
TMZThe Bieber/Usher collaboration is "Somebody to Love," recorded in 2010. A guy named Devin Copeland, known as De Rico, and his songwriting partner Mareio Overton claim the famous pair ripped off their 2008 song by the same name.   
Problem for Copeland and Overton ... a federal judge ruled the songs weren't similar at all and booted them out of court in 2014. 
But a federal appeals court just ruled, the first judge was way off base, concluding, the Bieber/Usher hook have an "almost identical rhythm and strikingly similar melody."   So the case now goes back for a full-blown trial where they're seeking $10 million in damages.Listen to the songs. 'This child will be a risk to you not just us' an anti-Islamic state activist wrote as he posted this photo on Twitter on Sunday night. The sick photo shows the newborn baby sleeping next to a handgun, hand grenade and an Islamic State birth certificate.

The image was posted through the twitter account of Abu Ward Al-Raqqawi an anti-Islamic State activist in Syria, in the hope of garnering attention to the international threat posed by ISIS.

The post said the newborn child is called ‘Jrah’, while his mothers name is ‘Om’ and his fathers name is ‘Abu.’ It also claimed the certificate next to the baby is an 'ISIS issued ID for a child'. The activist was trying to send a message but the photo has angered millions of people around the world.

7 die as pedestrian bridge collapses on taxi in Kano

Seven persons including a taxi driver and his passengers died this afternoon after an uncompleted pedestrian bridge at Dorayi quarters in Kano state collapsed on them at about 4.45pm today April 26th. According to reports, construction workers had warned the taxi driver and pedestrians not to pass under the bridge as it was still under construction but they ignored the warning and as soon as the taxi driver drove under the bridge, it caved, crumbling on the taxi killing the driver, its passengers and other pedestrians. The bodies of the victims have been deposited at a hospital mortuary

Fallout of strange illness, Ondo govt ban production & consumption of Ogogoro

The Ondo Government has banned the production and consumption of locally-made gin, commonly called `ogogoro` in the state. The state Commissioner for Health, Dr Dayo Akinyanju, announced this at a news conference in Akure on Saturday. The commissioner attributed the ban to the outbreak of an unknown disease two weeks ago in Irele Local Government Area of the state.


“Our clinical analysis reveals the fact that there were no known viruses, while toxicology reports have confirmed our prime suspicion of methanol poisoning. We have reviewed our strategies and embarked on sensitisation to let people know that locally-made gin is prohibited. We will also embark on searches because this batch of methanol-containing gin must have gone round because 4 cases: 2 alive and 2 dead have been found in Odigbo Local Government Area,“ he said.

Akinyanju said that stakeholders such as religious leaders, transporters, youths, market women, and the relevant association would be informed of the development.

“We will start with the entire South Senatorial District, then move to the Central Senatorial District.
According to the commissioner, the unknown disease has so far claimed 23 lives with ten other people receiving treatment.
“Two of them have regained their sights and are back home. We appeal to the general public to desist from drinking the gin until we are able to identify the source of contamination or find out how the methanol got into the drinks,“ he said.

The commissioner said that the state government was working closely with the National Agency for Food,  Drug Administration and Control and the National Orientation Agency to sensitise members of the public to the dangers of consuming such drinks.

Governorship results: Okorocha wins in Imo, Ikpeazu wins in Abia

Incumbent Governor Rochas Okorocha of APC has been declared winner of the governorship election in Imo state after beating his main rival, Deputy Speaker Emeka Ihedioha of PDP. Okorocha  polled 416,996 votes while Ihedioha got 320,705 in the re-run elections that held yesterday.

In Abia state, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu of PDP won by beating APGA candidate, Dr. Alex Otti, former MD of Diamond Bank. Ikpeazu polled 264,713 votes to Otti's 180,882.

Road leading to Ikpeazu's home in Abia blocked after he's declared winner

There's chaos in Abia state this morning after PDP Governorship candidate in the state Okezie Ikepazu was declared winner of yesterday's governorship election. There's an ongoing fight between APGA and PDP Youths in the state. The road leading to Ikpeazu's house has been blocked by angry youths. PDP supporters dressed a coffin in APGA flag while chopping off fowls head which is a symbol for APGA.

Chris Brown taking legal steps after discovering another man's name is on daughter's birth certificate

Chris Brown's name is not on his daughter's birth certificate and is now reportedly taking legal steps to rectify the situation. According to TMZ, the name on his daughter's birth certificate is that of his baby mama Nia Guzman's boyfriend Brazil Riesling aka King Ba (left) who many thought was Royalty's father. Chris is now taking legal steps to be recognized as Royalty's father.

Ba is also reportedly making it difficult for Chris and baby Royalty to bond and has been taunting Chris endlessly about the child on Instagram. Meanwhile today Chris shared adorable new video of his daughter laughing and having fun.
