Super eagles coach, Stephen Keshi may drop Stoke City striker
Osaze Odemwingie for him not playing to instruction when brought in the
second half against Iran.
READ MORE: http://news.naij.com/68382.htmlFollowing the super eagles goalless draw with Iran, Stephen Keshi while revealing why his team could not defeat Iran blamed Osaze who he introduced until the 69th minute for the team's failure.
He said: "The Osaze you are talking about didn’t do well. Osaze did not play to instructions and that affected the team."
However,
Super Eagles Captain, Austin Jay Jay Okocha who spoke about the match
onTuesday doesn't support Keshi blaming Osaze as a matter of fact he
believes Osaze brought some urgency and creativity to the Eagles attack
on Monday rather he blamed Keshi for the team's approach.
It would be recalled that on Tuesday, June 17, Keshi also told FIFA.COM that he blamed their performance on lack of inspiration.
Meanwhile,
Skipper Joseph Yobo is expected to keep his place in the first team
after Turkey-based defender Godfrey Oboabona was ruled out of Saturday’s
cracker as a result of a foot injury he suffered against Iran.
Yobo
said that reaching a century of international caps would be an added
bonus for him as he was already fulfilled to be at his third World Cup.
“I’m
just happy that I made it here because towards the end of the season I
got injured and it was difficult for me,” he revealed.
“Any other personal achievement will be great and I will enjoy it.

Boko Haram May Use Hijacked Petrol Tankers For Bombing Abuja
The Federal Government and the security services of Nigeria
alerted that the Islamist Boko Haram sect intends to bomb the Federal
Capital Territory using hijacked petrol tankers, TheNation reports.
This has been revealed by the Department of State Security Services (DSSS), which referenced intelligence reports about terrorists’ activities, on June 18, 2014, Wednesday.
The DSSS informed that Boko Haram members may capture the petrol tankers, fill them with explosives and use them for a suicide bomb attack. The terrorists might select various targets in Abuja and may accomplish the deadly mission in the nearest future.
Both Marilyn Ogar, the DSS Deputy Director, and Mike Omeri, National Information Centre Coordinator, confirmed it on the daily briefing in Abuja, urged Nigerians to stay on alert, especially when they notice a suspicious tanker, which is being driven in a dangerous manner.
Omeri also urged the Petrol Tankers Association (PTA) to be on the red alert, advised PTA members to notify the security services immediately about any attempt to seize, hijack their vehicles.
The NIC Coordinator further urged Nigerians to report about any broken down tanker in any part of the FCT to security agencies.
Omeri further commented on Monday’s arrest of 486 people in Abia state, suspected of links with Boko Haram. He assured that the screening of nabbed travellers was not targeted at any particular individual or group, but was aimed at ensuring the general security of the country.
The capital of city of the country has become a target for Boko Haram insurgents for multiple times, if we recall the deadly Nyanya Motor Park bombing on April 14 and a repeat May Day explosion.

“. Residents in the state must also be careful with broken bottles, cans, leather bags, parked tankers and vehicles around their homes, public places and public buildings.
“. Traditional rulers in the state were directed to summon emergency meetings of their various communities to take stock of strange faces living with them.
“. Uncompleted buildings in the cities in the state and environs without security guards will be taken over by the government because criminals use them as hideouts.
“. Lands left fallow for several years and not used for any economic or gainful purpose but taken over by criminals will be seized by the government
“. Smoking of Indian hemp was also banned.
“. A meeting of all non-indigenes in the state has also been fixed.”

Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the expelled Central Bank of Nigeria Governor has emerged as the new Emir of Kano.
Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who made the announcement this afternoon, said the former Central Bank Governor was edged by four kingmakers from the Kano Emirate.
The recently ousted Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), was turbaned as the Dan Majen Kano last two years by the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero. The history of Dan Majen Kano title in the hierarchical traditional titles of the traditional institution of Kano Emirate dates back to the 16th century, exactly in 1509 when the then Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Kisoki appointed the first Dan Maje, that is, Dan Maje Ummaru.
This title continued to exist up to the time.Kano fell under the authority of colonialists after its invasion and from that time to date, Sanusi is the 10th Dan Maje of Kano.
Dan Maje title is 21st in the hierarchy in the over 60 District Heads and title holders in the Kano Emirate after the Magajin Gari title and followed by of Dan Kadai who is the 22nd in the hierarchy.
It is believed that since 1882 Dan Maje title was the 17th title in the order of office precedence, following the Barden Kano title which is the 16th and followed by Dan Makwayo.
Maje means 'sarki' or Emir and 'Dan' means son of, therefore, Dan Maje means son of the emir which literally means a prince. For this reason therefore, the title of Dan Maje is exclusively reserved to only people with royal blood.
The holder of this title's primary responsibility in the Kano Emirate is to safeguard peoples' wealth, integrity and protect their lives in addition to serving them diligently and protecting the religion, culture and traditions of the people.
Sanusi's predecessors from 1920 to date include: Zakari Dan Sarkin Kano Abbas, Shehu Ahmad, Ahmed Gwadabe Dan Sarkin Kano Alu, Mahmud Bayero, Muntari Zakari, Sayyadi Mahmud, Aminu Ado Bayero, Tijjani Abubakar, Yusuf Ibrahim and now Sanusi Lamido Sanusi.
The unique thing about the newly appointed Dan Maje is that, "From his mother's side he was a grandson of Alkali Ummaru II of Fulata Barno from the Zarawa Clan who were famous Islamic Scholars, holding the titles of Chief Imams of Kano and Islamic judges right from the time of Emir of Kano, Ibrahim Dabo when the clan leader, Muhammad Zara became the chief Imam of the state.

Boko Haram bombs bar & brothel joint in Adamawa state, 60 killed
According to a breaking news report by Sahara Reporters, Boko Haram men today June 1st bombed a bar and brothel located near a major military base in Mubi,
Adamawa State, killing 60 people.
Two security sources in the area told SaharaReporters that a horrendous explosion rocked the bar and brothel which usually teems with civilian and military patrons. The explosion happened close to 6 pm. Nigerian time, both sources said. One of our sources said none of the casualties was a soldier, but the other stated that it was too early to determine whether any of the dead were soldiers.
The bombed facility is a short distance away from the headquarters of the Special Operations Battalion (SOB) of the Nigerian army in Mubi. The battalion is at the center of the Nigerian government's counter-offensive against Boko Haram's increasingly daring attacks on military and civilian targets.
Soldiers based in Mubi frequently join civilians to eat, drink and dance at the watering hole, our sources said, adding that military commanders generally warned soldiers not to stay at the joint past 4 p.m
